BONO MACK CONDEMNS BROWN AND POUGNET, SAYS THAT CALIFORNIA DESERVES BETTER

News Articles, Press Releases

October 10, 2010

Palm Desert, CA – Today, Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) released the following statements condemning California Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown and Palm Springs Mayor and congressional candidate Steve Pougnet:

“It is obvious that politicians like Jerry Brown and Steve Pougnet will say and do anything to get elected, even if they have to sacrifice integrity and decency in the process. Clearly, Jerry Brown condones repulsive and sexist language to describe Meg Whitman. And Steve Pougnet is trying to manipulate voters with deceptive mailings and automated phone calls. Instead of discussing pertinent issues with voters, Brown and Pougnet would rather use smear tactics and dirty politics to trick the electorate. I know that California deserves better.

“I support Meg Whitman for Governor because I believe she can reform our broken government, enhance educational opportunities for our children, and create jobs that will revive California’s failing economy.”
