LIBERAL, ANTI-BUSINESS LABOR SECRETARY BACKS POUGNET

Palm Desert, CA – Yesterday, the Obama Administration affirmed its support of failed Palm Springs Mayor Steve Pougnet by sending Hilda Solis, the liberal U.S. Secretary of Labor, to California’s 45th Congressional District to raise funds for Pougnet’s congressional campaign.  Following the arrival of Secretary Solis, Ryan Mahoney, Campaign Manager for Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) issued the following statements:

“Mayor Pougnet continues to garner support from the most liberal and bitterly partisan politicians in the country.  First, it was Barbara Boxer.  Then, Barney Frank and Speaker Nancy Pelosi.  And now, Pougnet has the full support of President Obama’s handpicked Labor Secretary, Hilda Solis.

“Like Pougnet, Solis is an outspoken liberal with an anti-business reputation.   And like Pougnet, Solis supports stimulus, bailouts, ObamaCare, and every other left-wing spending bill that Washington special interests create.

“We don’t need liberals like Hilda Solis and Steve Pougnet in Washington.  Their leftist agendas are bad for business, bad for jobs, and bad for us.”
