Palm Springs, CA – As Mayor Steve Pougnet continues to hide his strong support for ObamaCare from voters, his liberal supporter and U.S. Representative, Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-20), appeared on “Meet the Press” Sunday to praise the partisan proposal and advocate for government run healthcare.
Following her interview, Ryan Mahoney, Campaign Manager for Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45), issued the following statement:
“Even though the American people openly oppose government run healthcare, Wasserman Schultz and Pougnet remain devoted to Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the Democratic Party’s liberal agenda.
“Americans want comprehensive healthcare reform that strengthens the doctor/patient relationship at an affordable price. The reform package that Rep. Wasserman Schultz and Mayor Pougnet back, grows government, empowers bureaucrats, and raises premiums.
“Rep. Wasserman Schultz’s support of Mayor Pougnet’s candidacy is no surprise to me. Both are liberal, both are ObamaCare supporters, and both continue to ignore the needs of their constituents.”
