Indio, CA -Congresswoman Bono Mack (CA-45), held an open meeting today for her constituents at “It’s a Grind” coffee shop in Indio, CA.  Over fifty constituents participated in the public event, which focused on several issues including healthcare, unemployment, and National Security.  After the event, Bono Mack issued the following statement:

“Today once again proves that constituents in California’s 45th Congressional District are fed up with Washington and the blatant overreach of government.  The people of this District want lower taxes and less regulation so small businesses can thrive, creating good jobs for hardworking Californians.   They want a strong National defense to protect their families and their homeland.  They want a government that works, not a government that spends recklessly.

“I join with my constituents in demanding a stop to deficit spending in Washington.  We must rely on small business, entrepreneurs, and human ingenuity to rebuild this economy, not government bureaucracy. ”

“I want to thank those who came to Indio today to participate in this important discussion about the future of our Nation.  I look forward to holding these types of events throughout the District in the upcoming year.”
