FORMER GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY TO HOST FUNDRAISER FOR BONO MACK

Palm Springs, CA – Former Massachusetts Governor and Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney, will host a fundraiser for Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) at a private residence in Palm Desert, CA on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 7:00pm.

Romney said, “Congresswoman Bono Mack is an inspiring public servant. Mary is a leader, a good friend and a fighter for the best interests of her District, and I am proud to support her re-election.”

Bono Mack said, “Governor Romney is an accomplished businessman, dedicated public servant, and the future of the Republican Party.  I am truly honored to have Gov. Romney in The Desert for this special event.”

Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack represents California’s 45th Congressional District, which is located in southeastern California (Riverside County).  Assigned to the Energy and Commerce Committee, Bono Mack serves on the Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection Subcommittee, the Energy and Air Quality Subcommittee and the Environmental and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee.  She is the Chair of the Congressional Salton Sea Task Force and Co-Chair of the Entertainment Task Force, and Travel and Tourism Task Force.
